Roudbar is north-west from Tehran, 250 km away. Roudbar has a unique location on a very windy land where they use wind energy and grow olive trees. Designs of rugs are curved, all over covering. There are also rugs that represent birds in the tree or small animals. In colours dominates dark red and vibrant blue, with ivory white beige for contrast. Newer carpets are also found in softer shades of green, blue and brown. The wool is soft, thin, strongly knotted. Especially fine and dense rug.
