Description / SAROUGH 226*315
Sarough is located in western Iran. The carpet is characterized by both geometric and arched motifs. The carpet is covered either with the Herat symbol (flower in a diamond image, surrounded by four leaves of acanthus) or gil motif (flower motif). The pattern covers either the entire rug or forms the medallion's shape. The main colors are red, burnt orange, ocher and champagne colour. The price of carpet depends on density. Often a lamb wool is used to make the carpet especially soft and luxurious.
