Kurdish rugs (Kurdish: قالی کوردی) are rugs woven by the Kurdish people in West Asia, predominantly the larger Kurdistan region including the Eastern part of Turkey near the Taurus Mountains, Northern Iraq, southernmost Caucasus, Armenia and North-Western Iran.
The styles of Kurd village rugs are geometric and have allover or center medallion designs. Large palmettes, flower heads, ornaments, animals, birds, and flowers with vines and leaves are woven.
