Borchalou is located in western Iran, it belongs to Hamadan Province. The region's most important carpet-center is Kombazan. These rugs are tight and with a higher pile, made fom a thin and clean Hamadanian wool. Commonly in patterns you can find rich flower ornaments that makes the rug a truly lively masterpiece. Often on the cream-coloured background a red-black combination of flower-medallions is used. Borchalou carpets are mainly traded in Hamadan markets.
